Eco World Foundation Appreciation Luncheon

Launched in 2014, the Foundation which was established under the banner of the Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld) serves as the group's charitable arm.

The Eco World Foundation Appreciation Luncheon aims to raise funds for the Foundation's activities throughout the year, creating an opportunity for persons of note and substance to contribute from the plenty that they have, to make an impact on the lives of those who have little.

Through these generous donations - the total of which exceeded RM6 million in its launch year - the Foundation aims to assist in improving the lives of the underprivileged of Malaysia. This initiative is executed through the medium of education by utilising the Eco World Students Aid Program (SAP) in a bid to break the cycle of poverty prevalent in Malaysia.

The SAP provides assistance to an estimated 3,000 students with a budget of RM4 million per year. Through this program it is hoped that the objective of keeping disadvantaged children of all races in school can be accomplished. The funds raised during the Eco World Foundation Appreciation Luncheon go toward every aspect of a primary student's educational requirements, from equipping them for the new school year and arranging meals in school to paying their school and tuition fees.
