BOOK KIOSK FOR SK BANDAR RINCHING, SEMENYIH
Located in Semenyih, SK Bandar Rinching is home to a student population of 2,700 pupils. This impressive number underscores the Eco World Foundation’s commitment to supporting education through the construction of a dedicated book kiosk – an initiative designed to spark a love for reading among students and the wider school community.
This project, fully funded by Eco Majestic with a generous contribution of RM75,000, began in February 2025 and was successfully completed by mid-March 2025.
Although the kiosk is not yet open to the public, it will soon be officially launched, offering students, teachers, parents, and the entire school community convenient access to a diverse collection of reading materials. To ensure that everyone has a chance to enjoy the facility, the book kiosk will operate twice a month, during the 2nd and 4th weeks, creating regular opportunities for meaningful engagement with books.
Commenting on the handover ceremony, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said: “The book kiosk at SK Bandar Rinching was developed with a clear purpose—to cultivate a stronger reading culture among students and the wider school community. We wanted to make books easily accessible and ensure that reading becomes an engaging and enjoyable part of everyday life. Even before its official launch, the enthusiasm shown by both teachers and students has been truly encouraging. We believe this kiosk will grow into a vibrant hub of learning, curiosity, and inspiration.”
